Ok, since this is a science thread, i thought that some people might wanna know how certain things in this world work. So just post whatever you want to know about something here.

How do guns mark the ballistick markings on the bullet?

Well thats easy. When the bullet is shot, there are notches unique to every gun inside the barrel. When the bullet is shot, the notches carve the shape into the bullet

How do CDs work?
kk Ill be answering that. Basically a CD is a huge spiral track with lots of tiny bump called 'pits' these pits represent a '1' while the lack of a pit represents a '0' so the laser in your Computer gradually moves outwards while the CD is spinning. so basically it read your CD as a huge line of 1s and 0s. Binary code.

How do...pens work? All I see is a metal...thing out there.

Well if im not mistaken most pens (ball point pens) work by a tiny metal ball that rolls through the ink, it is very hard to see but it is there at the tip of the pen when you write it causes the ball to roll dispersing the ink

That's right. How does gravity create a never-ending cycle of spin in every planet?

Sorry i haven't been on for a while.
Well, im gonna assume you mean like in orbits...
Essentially when you are in orbit you are technically "falling" towards the source. But because you are moving as well as falling, the you will never catch up with the source (because its spherical...). What that looks like is the object constantly orbiting around the source of gravity. Thats why if you slow down, you fall.
Did i explain that well enough???

Thanks for the explanation. And if, let's say someday the Earth stops orbiting round the Sun.Will the Earth get strayed away from it's orbit and get pulled into some other planet's orbit?

If we stopped orbiting the Sun, "straying away from orbit" would be an understatement. We would get pulled into the sun (not another planet. The sun has the strongest gravity) and we dont want that. But it would take A LOT to make us stop orbiting the sun. A LOT.
But assuming the sun wasnt there (and we were all dead), we would most likely be flung into the outer planets and we would probably end up being swallowed by Jupiter or some other gas giant.

You know, from what I read. The opposite sex subconsciously chooses their partner by the sense of smell. Trying the get the genes that will help them with their weaknesses. Such as if you are suspectible to the flu, then you'd subconsciously choose a partner that's genes are good against the flu. Something like that. xD

Yeah actually thats true. But not necessarily the weaknesses. Your body chooses people who are most different (in genetic terms) to you to ensure maximum potential for genetic superiority. So i guess you are sorta right...
