I started watching this with my Zoom Player that allows me to watch it either in Dub or japanese. Well, I can only say a few things about the dub. While I like the voice actor that did Tenchi's voice. But don't you think at times he was replaced by Kermit the Frog? Honestly. I mean the anime in bad in itself. Its just one cluster of anime girl stereo-types. The cute, the princess, the wild, the work woman, the ditzy, the smart, whatever have you. I suggest this over the other like the first series, not only is it an alternate version to it but there is more depth and more episodes you can shake a stick with fanboy attached to the end of it a stick at.

I like Tenchi Muyo! With Tenchi Universe falling in second and I hated absolutely hated Tenchi in Tokyo. Tenchi Muyo! is fleshed out way more than Universe as there's tons of back material, there's the manga, the OVA's, the OST's, etc. Tenchi Muyo's Kagato was really cool and I just adore Sasami and Ryo-ohkie (I wish I could have a cabbit like her. x3 ). For your information to, Tenchi Muyo! Really kicked off the harem anime genre and of course the character's would be sterotypes now because of that. In fact there's a whole anime genre situation attributed to her; "Sasami has a huge fan following across the globe and is the inspiration for what VIZ editor Carl Gustav Horn called 'The Sasami Effect', in that any young cute girl within a cast of characters will inevitably become the most popular. Possible examples of this include the Sailor Moon character, Chibiusa, plus many other "young" female characters in Japanese, French, and American series. " Tenchi Muyo covers in total alot more than Universe, as Universe was a way to market Tenchi to a broader audience via television syndicate timeslots rather than the OVA's straight to video release. Not to mention Tenchi Muyo is a troper paradise which is a good thing as tropes are fun as seen here: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TenchiMuyoIf you can't tell, I really love the Tenchi series.
