Yeah, FZ is right, fire pokemon as starters sure PWN but even in the end of games they still PWN and are sometimes considered tankers. (Can withstand punishment and still defeat the enemy.)

the red and blue starters are and always have been my favorites. I didn't really like the GS ones and torchic and treecko are my favs from emerald. turtwig is also quite the boss.

I've always loved Charmander, always. Same with Mudkip and Pikachu. The Sinnoh starters bug me... but my favorite out of them is Piplup.
