I made this thread for the sole purpose of telling you all that Brawl is far inferior to it's predecessor, and the only reason people play Brawl is because it has online playability. If Melee were to be re-released on the Wii with online, Brawl would die. To simply state why Melee is better than Brawl, I would say that Brawl is too simple, and Melee was VERY technical. Wavedashing/wavelanding, l-canceling, dashdancing, etc, made Melee so god damn fun and exciting. The "minor mistakes" that the Melee team left actually made Melee (at least in my eyes) the greatest fighting game ever made. This isn't to say Brawl isn't a good game, but I obviously believe Melee is superior. Otherwise, this would be another Brawl thread. With all this said and done, we should begin Melee discussion! I play Sheik, Ganondorf, Samus, Captain Falcon, Fox, and Falco. My best is Sheik (I make little kids cry and grown men throw controllers with Sheik), and my favorite is Ganondorf (GRANDPA!). I'd like to be a lot better with Captain Falcon, but I can't short hop with him for beans. I mean, yeah, I can do it when I just focus on short hopping, but god damn is it hard to short hop in the heat of battle, to fast fall an f-air or d-air

Just those can beat Melee. Brawl also have online play and many character and stages, unbeatable. It also have the best music in all games, UNLIKE Melee. Brawl music is AMAZING.
Plus Melee is not fun. Wavedashing/wavelanding, l-canceling, dashdancing and all those stuff can all be put in Brawl by using Ocarina Code,[glow=red,2,300] anyway.[/glow]

I suck at melee and I can tell you, it's better than brawl will ever be. the advanced techs added to the game but even without them, characters are no where as near as unfinished. The graphics might not be as good, but there is a generation gap is to blame, and brawl's aren't that hot either. The story of brawl is nothing to boast about. Tch, and music can be changed with a radio or stereo on in the background.

Subspace Emissary gave Brawl more depth than the previous two games. Nevertheless, Melee is ALSO my favorite beat'em'up of all time. HIGH FIVES.
