In Taiko no Tatsujin DS 7, other than the normal stuff you did in the original Taiko DS game, you also get to do this story mode kind of thing.
there are a few islands you have to get past and at the end of each island is a "boss" kind of thing. where you have to wear a certain costume to enter.
Since its in japanese, a lot of people can't read it, so they don't know what to wear.
Here I will post up what you have to wear in order to enter the dojo at the end of the island:
First Island:
Wear kuroihakama / black gi outfit to enter dojo
Second Island (Left of First Island):
To cross bridge wear the neko / cat costume
Third Island (Right of First Island):
To enter cabin wear kitsunenoomen / mask of kitsune (red and white mask)
To enter dojo wear hokkamuri (bearded guy mask) and furushiki (green bag, white swirls)
Fourth Island (Below Second Island):
Wear the shiroibeeru / wedding veil and shiroidoresu / wedding dress to enter dojo
Fifth Island (Bottom Left Island):
To cross the river wear kajikimaguro / swordfish costume
Sixth Island (Bottom Right Island):
To fix the crushed lanterns use the suzu / bell taiko drum
To cross the train tracks wear the kikansha / locomotive costume
To enter dojo use the mokugiyo drum (round wooden one).
Seventh Island:
Use the deriru / drill to break the rocks
Use the taka / eagle costume to cross the lava.
The boss for this island is a [glow=red,99,9900]B......[/glow] literally. She covers most of your screen (black out) and [glow=red,99,9900]starts posing and dancing[/glow]in the small area that she doesn't cover.
In my opinion, this boss is harder than the final boss since the programers of this part of the game is deliberately distracting you with unneccessary distractions.

There is an eighth island, unlike all the other islands it has no shadow.
