Hello, I'm make this thread so people who have problems with there DS can hopefully keep it going longer rather than buying a new one. This forum is meant to be used for questions related to system wear and tear and the solutions people have found for them. I'd like to start it off with my own question.
Q: The L button on my DS (original) isn't working as much any more, I have to push it in harder and usually struggle to find a place where it registers. Does anyone have any solutions to this problem?

Does anyone have any solutions to this problem? Usually that happens because either you pressed it to hard, there is dust in there, or it fell pretty hard on it the way to fix it is i guess go to a shop or something unless you want to open it up yourself and check out what the problem is.

Nah. Too much trouble for anyu of that. Just blow in the trigger button. I have the same problem. Works for me all the time. I have one. My power button isn't working as well as it should. Sometimes, my DS won't turn on, even after a full charge. It also turns itself on sometimes

Thanks for the advice I'll give it a try next time. As for how it turns itself on, there might be something stuck or loose in the system. I'm glad that my system still works though, I don't want to get stuck with a DS Lite. They aren't as sturdy, aren't as loud, and the buttons aren't firm enough for me.

So you have the older version of a DS or the new DSi?

I have a blue original DS, and to top it all off I bought it used. I'm not too interested in the DSi, I still like playing my advance games and we have the old GBA too. I don't mind my old DS though, it works well except the L button, even if it's a little beat up.

Ohh okay cool but i think the DS Lite is better then the original but not only that it is a fact hat it is better and yeah i really don't care if i get the DSi or not
