i read that it is going to cost around $180 better than Japan with $210 it is not compatible with flashcards and is region blocked with i guess the internet conmpatibility so i guess we will just ave to wait and see how it pans out with Nintendo Oh and this is just a rumor but it comes from a reliable source that it might come out in April, but like i said and from the source whose name is Matt Casamassina with IGN. here is a site to read more: blog.nothingbutsoftware.com/2009/01/nintendo-dsi-in-north-america-by-april-4th/

blog.nothingbutsoftware.com/2009/....a-by-april-4th/EDIT:Well i would like to rectify my earlier post. I has come on various sites such as SEREBII, and GAMESTOP, that the DSi will be released on April 5th 2009, for a price of $169.99, plus tax which would bring it up around $180, it will come in two colors BLACK and BLUE, which is diffrent than the original BLACK and WHITE like in Japan, but that is all of the news about it that I have read.

I saw the DSi for sale in HK and China in December - it was around ¥1300, which was (really roughly) AUS$260 then. (Currency exchange would've changed by now)
Like silowill1, I don't like the fact it doesn't have the GBA slot anymore. My GBA SP is kind of dying, and I need something to play my GBA cartridges XD So I got a NDSL instead.

I don't play GBA games much anymore, and if I do, I could use my gameboy micro, (which I think is better than the SP due to a lot of things, for 1. its smaller. and more portable)

I don't think I'll get it, my DS is still in working order (if a bit jumpy), and I've had it since it first came out, so its the old 'DS phat'. It does what I want it to do, and is still reliable. Plus, I can't stand losing the GBA port, and I won't get much value of I decide to trade in my ds, coz its not a lite. Big deal, it has a camera. So do mobile phones and digital cameras. And you can always edit photos on the computer.
Also, it has a shop where you can get points and buy games, but they are pretty bad. There have been rumours about downloadable gba games, but I haven't actually heard anything else about it.
