If someone's smart enough, we can reconfigure the data of the DSi, remove part of the GBA slot of our current DS, expand our current DS's bottom GBA slot into whatever the size of DSi is, and connect it to the DSi. But that's impossible, it'd be hacking right?

The NDS Lite has been out for a longer time than Wii. Wii was released in around 2006-2007.
NDSL has been out earlier. I still wonder what the camera for DSi is for for. For BG image? No wait, better yet. Take pictures like a real camera, a put into PC! DAMN, it's good. Releasing in November 1st, 2008? GOOD Timing!!! Megaman Star Force 3 is being released in Winter 2008. Just Imagining Star Force 3 in the DSi PWNS. (Omega-Xis:I'm big enough already)

It's call DSi 'i' because of the 'wii'. The DS is for a single person (I) to play while the 'Wii' is for multiple players (We) to play. The DSi is specially made to connect to the Wii.

yupp and the camera is probably going to be used for games. like i read an article that they might make special games that use the camera like games for the PS3 that require the Playstation eye.

hate to say this guys, but apparently the dsi is INCOMPATIBLE with flash cards such as r4 and m3. not confirmed info, but most sites say the same thing. so i guess we'll have to wait to find out...
