I have no clue what fridrich is. 1:29 is just using the begginer method. :/ I suck at typing..... but i looked up fridrich, and aren't the beginners method and fridrich the same thing?

No. In the beginner's method, you solve the cross, corners, middle edges, top cross, Permute the Edges, orient the corners, and use R' D' R D to permute the corners. In the Fridrich, you solve the cross, use F2L which is solve the first two layers at the same time, then Orient the entire top layer, then permuting it. Orient means to correctly flip a piece but not in the right place. Do you finger trick? As in not using your whole hand to move layers but flicking fingers. After you get around one minute with the Beginner's Method, read this: www.speedsolving.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6085

I sorta finger trick. I usually only move my fingers, but sometimes i just use my whole hand.

Just for the sake of half bumbping this thread, i'll double post....
My new best time is 1:12:27
I'm working on learning some faster algs, but its hard solving the cross upside down, so i start out with beginner, the use some funky algs, then just finish with beginner. Its seems to work okay
Also, i'm trying to convince my parents to get me a speed cube. I probably want Type A1. Where is the best place to get it?
Also II, i got a Magic today. Solved it in like 15 minutes. easiest puzzle ever lol
Also III, i got a Rubik's 360 today. Its a anti-pwnz0r to solve. I'm going to kill myself over it, because there is no algorithm to it. ITs more like manipulating the axis of three spheres. This could take me a couple days...

Type Alphas pop. A lot. I would recommend Ghost Hands or a Taiyan. You will also want to spray in some CRC Heavy Duty Silicone or Jigaloo. NOT WD-40! www.speedcubeshop.com/apps/webstore/ (If you live in the West) speedcubingstore.webs.com/apps/webstore/ (If you lived in Central America? cubingstore.webs.com/apps/webstore/ (Near the New York) Both have excellent shipping. Look through each and then ask later.

Well, you could build one yourself though a heck lotta problems will come up. And building one for the first time needs lotta patience and time. And screwing up at any point may result in starting over......

It looks like a Taiyan II would be my best bet, huh? So do i want it assembled, or do it myself? Or is it a personal choice? XD
Also, my new best time is a minute ten(1:10) for my cube. I think i can shave off that ten if i start doing the cross upside down....
Anyway, anyone who reads this now knows that i will be gone all week, as i am going to Florida for spring break. Going to disney, and im gonna march in the parade with my marching band. I might be one if i can get on the hotels wifi though. Soo..... See ya!

You're all fags. I can't even get sub 60. i suck at this....
Anyway, i have another problem. I dropped my rubiks 360, so now a ball is jammed between the lock and the dome. Anyone know how to fix it?

Sorry to be a super-n00b, but now I sub 40. Sorry ^_^ As for your problem, try shaking it around, twisting the latch, etc. I'm getting a Type F II. It's about time I use a cube that's good. Beware, Taiyan might lock up a bit. Have you joined the speedsolving forum yet? Btw, I got BANNED there. For posting an effing Rick Roll link. WHAT THE EFF?!

Ah this is unnatural.....I'm getting under 30 s with only F2L....wth happened to my hands?? Before this I could only get below 50 s.....
Okay forget that, it seemed like I was showing off. Well I'm still trying to remember all OLL's (seems like something not worth my time though xD) cause I think that'll make it go somewhere around...15 s (?)

I came to the conclusion that i shouldnt't try to be a speedsolver. I'm really no good it it. I'm really uncooridinated, and i have sorta big hands. I think i'll just learn to solve the cubes, without having to speed solve. BUT, i have been able to get in the 50's with my 3x3 lately.
Also, i have to buy a new 360 because i REALLY effed it up. LIke i got two balls stuck. i'm not even gonna deal with it.
Trying to solve my friends 5x5 atm, and im not doing too well. I'll prolly have to get a 4x4 first. I can everything but the most important part; parity. BUt i'm not too worried about it right now...
Finally got the 5x5 down. Takes me forever to solve it, but i can. ALso, i can finally sub 60, but thats about it.
