I dont really like the eragon series (ive read them all, though), i sorta like redwall but it can get boring sometimes and i dont really like rowan of rin... Certainly Artemis Fowl is one of the best, the Halo novels are excellent and still make sense even if you've never played the games, but as far as fantasy goes, nothing beats the Old Kingdom (AKA Abhorsen) trilogy by Garth Nix. I strongly recommend any of you who see these books to read them. Its the closest you'll get to final fantasy in a book trilogy. The original covers look freakin' awesome too. If any of you see something that looks like this, read it:

-The Lord of the Rings- and any other books of J.R.R Tolkien or Epic Fantasy. My mother used to read me that books when I was a little boy, so, I grow up with Tolkien and I love his books.

If you liked The Da Vinci Code (which I think isn't that great of a book; liked Angels and Demons and his other two books much better), and books of that Genre, I would recommend The Rule of Four. I haven't read much in this genre but I loved it.
Best ending in all the books I read.
