I used to play Maple Story i played the regular then i play a hacked version people make there own you can level up faster you can hack easily in there and get items and more money its better then the regular Maple Story if any of you want to know how to download it and stuff just ask me  -+-Win32##Mozilla Firefox 3.0.3##1024 × 768##7-+- |

Maplestory is interesting but a number of things about it made me stop playing it. Leveling starts to become a problem once you reach lvl 20 or so. What I mean is that leveling starts to get really slow. Also many of the items the shops sell are just priced to high for lower lvl players. The players who are lvl 30 don't have to worry because it takes a while to level up there-for you can get more cash to get the item(s) before you levelup to a point were you wouldn't need the item(s). But the ONE thing that really made me give up this game was the people who makes up the comunity on there. Of all the people that I met with on there about three or four were nice to me everyone else on there was a jerk to me. I don't feel like playing MS every again because of these and a few other factors. But thats just what happenned with me, if you have a lot of friends who are also on MS, that can help matters but I couldn't find hardly anyone who was nice on MS. Oh, MS is acually a rip-off of another Korean mmorpg that's a side-scrolling platforming rpg. I don't remember the name of it though.
(P.S.
A free sever is deffenetly better, with more item dropes and faster leveling it makes the game more injoyable, but I still wont touch this game again. Well, I might see if I can try out the DS version just to see if thats any better, maybe.)

MS is not really a rip-off of a korean game because MS itself is korean.
There are lots of private servers out on the net all with different rates and what makes nexon hunt them is something about profits...
I still have a character but I barely go on it.

MS is actually quite fun but I quit it because the quest are like s*** and leveling up takes like forever.And about the hacks there are a lot of them like vac hack and etc. but if you get caught by someone, it's goodbye account.
Private servers are actually legal guys.They are called Private instead of Pirated, that's why.But some game companies sued some private servers because they stole from their servers. (The game data and stuff.)

Maplestory is really fun for awhile, but as someone above mentioned, you hit a wall in terms of most everything. The community becomes a problem because for a LONG time, a lot of people would cheat in the legit server, people purposely 'invade', then call you -names-. The private servers that are popular probably have the same community and more due to players from around the world and wannabe hackers.

R.O.S.E. Online and SROSEOnline are better. On R.O.S.E. I'm a level 186 Raider and on SROSE all of my characters are level 250*** (each * counts as 250 levels thanks to rebirth mode. So all of my characters are level 1000).
Huge Community and its totally free.
